ABOUT THE ARTIST

Julia Arwen

A recent Howard Community College graduate, who is currently working towards a Bachelors in Psychology at University of Maryland Global Campus. Julia has plans to pursue a Masters in Art Therapy after receiving her undergrad degree. She currently works for the Howard County School System as a special education paraeducator. Her eventual goal is to provide Art Therapy services for children with disabilities.

Julia has taken roughly 6 years of art classes, which has helped her greatly build her technical skills. She enjoys many working in many different mediums including; Posca (paint pens), graphite, charcoal, digital, oil pastels, collage, chalk pastels, and alcohol-based markers.

In her free time, when she's not creating, Julia likes to hike and enjoy the outdoors, play video games, spend time with her family and friends, and play Dungeons & Dragons.
